A graduate of the University of Sheffield, class of 1998, Manoj Parmar took over Acorn Dental in 2000 and together with his brothers Hit and Dipesh and team of exceptional clinicians, has developed a multidisciplinary centre of dental excellence.

With 25years experience and a string of post-graduate qualifications, Manoj has limited his practice to implantology and associated procedures including regeneration of severely atrophic ridges and sinus augmentations. He also has a special interest in the management of surgical and restorative implant complications.

Manoj firmly believes that all dentists have the ability to restore implants and can provide the necessary training and mentorship to empower general practitioners to do this.

BDS, MJDF, FCGDent, MSc (Orthodontics)

Dipesh Parmar graduated from the University of Birmingham winning prizes in Aesthetic Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Dental Pathology and Conservative Dentistry, amongst others.  He is a Partner at Acorn Dental with his practice focusing on advanced aesthetic restorative dentistry, orthodontics and restoring dental implants.  He has held a clinical lecturer teaching post at Birmingham Dental School and is the Clinical Director of Mini Smile Makeover.  Dipesh has won multiple awards at the UK Aesthetic Dentistry Awards, including Best Aesthetic Dentist UK 2018.  He has been awarded an MSc in Orthodontics (University of Warwick) and is an internationally renowned educator in minimally invasive direct aesthetics.  Dipesh has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, is a Full Active Member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, an Accredited Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry.

BDS, MSc Dist (Periodontics)

Raj Shah graduated with Honours from the University of Birmingham, where he distinguished himself by receiving multiple awards in Clinical Skills, Conservative Dentistry, and Periodontology during his undergraduate training. His passion for dentistry is evident in his commitment to both education and service.

As part of his dedication to global health, Raj initiated a sustainable preventative dental program specifically designed for physically disabled women in Kenya. This program, now in its eighth year, has had a profound impact on the community, providing essential dental care and education that would otherwise be inaccessible.

Since graduating, Raj has cultivated a profound interest in the management and treatment of periodontal disease. Recognizing the critical role that periodontal health plays in overall well-being, he pursued and completed his Masters in Clinical Periodontology with Distinction from the University of Central Lancashire. This advanced training has equipped Raj with cutting-edge knowledge and techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, including surgical and non-surgical interventions.

Raj’s approach to periodontology is patient-centred, focusing on both the prevention and management of gum disease through tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. His expertise in restorative dentistry further complements his periodontal practice, allowing him to provide comprehensive care that restores both function and aesthetics.

BDS, PgDip (Endodontics)

Vishal graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011, and then completed his vocational training in Shropshire. During this time he worked predominately within the NHS and built his passion for dentistry in particular Endodontics.

After attending many courses he soon decided he would like to focus on his interest  and so has persued postgraduate qualifications in Endodontics. His studies were designed to help him on his pathway to become an expert in Root Canal Treatment.

Vishal limited his practice to Endodontics in 2019 to focus on his passion. He believes in a caring style to treating his patients and thoroughly believes in putting patients interests first. He has established a good working relationship with many colleagues within the midlands to give patients a multi skilled experience during their treatment.

When not looking through his microscope, Vishal is busy spending time with his family. He has a passion for Astro photography and cricket.

BDS, MCGDent, MSc (Oral Surgery)

Andrew Kalli completed his training at the Birmingham Dental Hospital graduating with honours and clinical distinction. Since graduating Andrew has worked in multiple roles across the West Midlands focussing on minor oral surgery and sedation. He has completed his Masters in Oral Surgery with the University of Central Lancashire.

Hiten Parmar established Fine Art Dental Studio (FADS) in 2008, eleven years after graduating from Matthew Boulton College and following intensive training from master technicians in multiple successful laboratories. FADS is a state of the art private dental laboratory in the heart of Birmingham which focuses on everyday aesthetic solutions for dentists. FADS offers dentists a turn key service ranging from single units to full mouth fixed and removable rehabilitations, underpinned by functional aesthetics and has fully embraced digital dentistry. Having won multiple cases at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards, Hiten Parmar went on to become Best Aesthetic Technician UK in 2018.
